Day 2

After breakfast, an-hour walk along the Neuquen river, along the side of town. Then we finalize the preparation of bags and saddlebags, the rest of your belongings stays in the hostel in secured lockers for the rest of the week. Lunch and then drive with vehicle towards the farm La Salada (15km), where horses and gauchos are waiting for you. Greetings, loading of the mules, let’s set our stirrups… Nos vamos pa’ la Cordillera ! (Let’s go to the Cordillera!). We are at an altitude of 1200 meters in a winter camp area, we will arrive 3 hours later at an altitude of 1600m, to the summer camp of the guide Ceferino, after having crossed the canyon Arroyo Blanco and having went through the pass Los Molles. For dinner : Traditional Asado !
